Clinique | Skin Treats

* Clinique dramatically  different moisturising lotion +
Clinique superdefense SPF 20 daily defence moisturiser
Clinique super primer - colour corrects redness

My skin hasn't been fantastic of late. It felt drier than ever and generally had a dull appearance. Even after applying my foundation I felt like it didn't look right on my skin and looked as though it was sitting on top of my skin instead of blended in. Attractive right?

I knew some serious skin care action needed to be taken, so it was a bit of a god send to receive some products from a long loved skin care brand, Clinique. Well I've been testing these 3 skin care treats for the past month or so, and here are my thoughts so far:

Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion +
This is a product I used a lot in my teens, but I tried different products over the years and, as you do, forgot to go back to the old favourites.  The dramatically different moisturising lotion is light weight but still really moisturising without leaving your skin feeling heavy. This new formula helps to strengthen skins moisture barrier leaving you with soft, glowing skin. I love the fact that it is absorbed quickly into the skin, and you don't have to wait ages for it to dry so you can use it 5 minutes before applying your makeup in the morning. I use the very dry to dry combination skin and so far this has really been doing the trick i'm pleased to say, and my skin has felt a lot less dry and tight.

Clinique superdefense SPF 20 daily defence moisturiser
I've also been trying out the superdefense daily defence moisturiser. The formula is thicker than the dramatically different + but still absorbs really quickly and leaves my skin feeling silky soft. It contains SPF 20 so it's perfect to wear every day to protect against harmful UV rays. I even reach for this as a night time moisturiser as well. I simply massage it into my face and neck and even though i'm still deciding, I might ever so slightly prefer this one over the lotion when my skin needs a more substantial drink!

Clinique super primer - colour corrects redness
I've been wanting to try Clinique's superprimer range for a while now, and with 6 different formulations targeted towards different skin complaints, you will surely find the perfect one for you. They have ones to colour correct:  dullness, redness, sallowness, discolourations and dullness in deeper skins. They also have a universal primer for us ladies with multiple skin complaints! I do want to give this one a go at some point, but I thought it would be best to try the redness corrector as I suffer with spots. I don't usually use a primer, as I tend to find them a bit oily, and my makeup tends to slide off faster, but I use this on problems areas, areas of redness and on the pores on my nose and it really does help make my foundation look smoother and helps it to blend with my skin more. The yellowed toned primer, counteracts redness but obviously doesn't cover it up, so it's not going to get rid of your redness completely, but it definitely helps to even your skin tone so that foundation application looks more even.

I am LOVING my Clinique skin treats so far, and I've already got quite a long list of other Clinique products I need to pick up and try! What are your favourite products from Clinique? Do you have any holy grail items I just have to try? Let me know!

  4. I have really dry skin, and have been thinking of trying dramatically different for a while, but wasn't sure if it was going to be too oily or take forever to sink in, so it was great to read about your experience with it xx

  5. Pregnancy plays havoc with your skin! I had to buy all new skincare and foundation while I was expecting because my skin went from dry/combination to super oily! Damn hormones eh?

  6. Gotta love Clinique! I use their skin care product exclusively. I have used so many different skin care products over the years and Clinique is the only brand that just seems to work with zero issues. The Dramatically Different moisturizer sinks in so fast you can literally apply it one second and your foundation the next. Boom done! lol

  9. My grandma swears by Clinique products and has been using them for ages! Because of that I never really thought of using them myself! But I'm now on the look for a new face moisturizer and heard quite good things about the Clinique Dramatically Different! Maybe I should give it a try!
